Technologika <\/strong>is a Ukrainian Scientific Production Enterprise that was established in 2011. Its predecessor TOV Suma Technologij developed under the leadership of Dr. Pavlo Demchenko Ph.D. (director, founder and team leader of Technologika) dozens of different pectin preparations since 1992.

After the accident at Chornobyl nuclear power plant (in 1986), Dr. Demchenko, in cooperation with Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and several research institutes of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, focused on the problem of excretion of chemical elements Radiocesium and Radiostrontium from the human body. Their work led to the development of pectin-based compositions capable of adsorbing radionuclides. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pilot quantities of new preparations are produced at the facilities located in Kyiv region, Ukraine. Technologika has experimental equipment for testing new technologies of pectin extraction, drying and chemical treatment. Research facilities are located at the National University of Food Technologies and are used in accordance with agreements on scientific cooperation.
Also, by agreement with Technologika, the university is providing graduate students with part-time work and collaborative research projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our pectin-based compositions are approved for use as nutritional supplements aimed at detoxifying the body. Under the trademark
Pectin Complex<\/strong> they are available in various formulations.

We developed a unique technology of sugar beet pectin production. Such pectin has the best complexing and binding properties, and as a detoxifying natural substance has no analogue in the world. The clinical studies which have been conducted in collaboration with the Institute of Occupational Medicine of Ukraine proved high efficiency and safety of our dietary detox supplement. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pectin Complex effectively cleanses the body from toxins, heavy metals, pesticides, radionuclides, and other persistent chemical contaminants without eliminating essential minerals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Licensed by the Ministry of Public Health of Ukraine for manufacturing and distribution of pectin tablets through pharmacists, currently 900,000 doses in tablet or dragee form have been produced and used in Ukraine and other countries.

We assume that combining pectin preparations with carbon or mineral sorbents can be more effective because of different mechanisms of these components<\/mark><\/p><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The principal advantage of the technology is that neither strong acids nor alkalis are used in the process of pectin extraction and hydrolysis. Several agricultural producers located nearby can supply raw materials as agricultural waste in large amounts.

Currently there are no other producers of pectin-containing preparations in the national market.
